Automated sheet racking system for optimal storage and machine supply

A gigantic, fully automated ‘pharmacy cabinet’ with metal sheets inside. That's probably how you can best describe our automatic warehouse racking system, also known as a sheet racking system,. It is a unique invention of our engineers, built and installed by our own metal fabrication staff. And we're pretty proud of the result. It might also be an option for your own business process. 

Our sheet racking system offers 700 positions of 3,000 x 1,500 mm. Customised dimensions are also possible. The system plays a central role in our business processes. Its main function is as a storage space, but at the same time ensures the supply of raw sheet material, semi-finished products and finished products to our machines. 

By using this automatic warehouse racking system to reduce the number of human activities, we have also managed to significantly reduce order turnaround times. 

It is a unique invention of our engineers, built and installed by our own metal department staff. 

The sheet racking system is controlled by our ERP system. When new raw materials are required or if they fall below pre-set thresholds, for example, they are automatically restocked from the ERP system. The warehouse is set up in such a way that stainless steel and steel are always strictly separated from each other. 

Our sheet racking system supplies raw material to two laser cutting machines, supplies cut sheet metal to two product-extraction locations and delivers the cut product to 7 press brakes.
